Eagle River Water & Sanitation District crews will be out cleaning sewer mains in neighborhoods
starting this spring and continuing through the summer. ERWSD’s contractor will be inspecting the
sewer mains once they are cleaned.

Residents can expect to see ERWSD jetting trucks in Wildridge, Avon, Beaver Creek, and Bachelor
Gulch starting in April. Specific times, dates, and neighborhoods will be updated when available.

The District uses in-house and contract sewer main inspection crews throughout the valley as part
of a regular maintenance schedule. This is a proactive measure to assess structural integrity, efficacy
of other maintenance procedures and help avoid costly and inconvenient issues. The work generally
occurs between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Residents can expect to see the jetting trucks, inspection vans, and equipment on streets and in back
lots depending on manhole locations. Drivers should use caution as vehicles, employees, and contractors
are near the roadway during inspection operations.

These activities should cause minimal disruption to residents and crews appreciate the public’s
understanding and cooperation. This work is done on a 5-year rotating schedule.

Preventing problems before they occur is a top priority of the district’s preventive maintenance
program that ensures proper functioning of sewage infrastructure.
