Full-time Employment Opportunities:

Water Department Manager

The Water Manager will manage daily operations of the Water Department including personnel, budget, regulatory compliance and waterworks system. This position is also responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of workers in operation and maintenance of waterworks system, including raw water storage reservoirs, raw water supply systems, water treatment facilities, groundwater wells and treatment facilities and other related equipment to ensure adequate quality water supply for human consumption, industrial or agricultural use. The Water Manager will work closely with the Field Operations Department to ensure adequate water supply and achievement of regulatory goals. As a leader in the District, this individual will model and support ERWSD values of Service, Accountability, Customer Confidence, Community Partnership, Personnel Dedication, Environmental Stewardship, Leadership and Continuous Improvement, and Long Range Planning and Preparation.

Wastewater Operator 

The Wastewater Operator participates in the daily operation and/or maintenance of secondary wastewater treatment facilities in a team environment to meet all applicable standards pertaining to plant effluent and bio-solids in a timely, efficient and economical manner. 

 Qualifications:

  • Wastewater Operator C or D License or ability to obtain within first 18 months of employment
  • Possess a Colorado Driver's license or ability to obtain upon employment and be insurable under ERWSD standard
  • Detail oriented and logical, and creative approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • CDL preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency including Windows, MSWord, Excel
  • High school graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience

Our Internship Programs provide students with the opportunity to gain practical, challenging and meaningful on-the-job work experience, within the fields of Water, Wastewater, and Construction Management while exploring a potential career path. Each week of the program will reveal new challenges and learning opportunities.
