May 4 2010 Regular Director Election

On Tuesday, May 4th, 2010 the District will have a Regular Election.
The Candidates for Director Positions Are:
There are four (4) Director positions for 4 year terms, only one of which is contested as follows:
Director District 1 Candidate is –
Ludi Kurz, who is the only Candidate and is therefore elected.
Director District 3 Candidates are –
Ron Wolfe
Rick Sackbauer
Director District 5 Candidate is –
Darell Wegert, who is the only Candidate and is therefore elected.
Director District 7 Candidate is –
Rick Pylman, who is the only Candidate and is therefore elected.
Voters may vote for one (1) Director from each Director District.
Voter Eligibility
An eligible elector for this election must be:
Registered to vote in general elections in the State of Colorado
AND
- A resident of the District for not less than 30 days; or
- The owner of taxable real or personal property situated within the boundaries of the District; or
- A person who is obligated to pay taxes under a contract to purchase taxable property in the District; or
- The spouse of someone who is the owner of taxable real or personal property within the boundaries of the District.

Voter Registration
The deadline for voter registration is April 5th, 2010. On line voter registration information is offered by the Eagle County Clerk & Recorder office at: http://www.eaglecounty.us , click on “I Want To…”, then click on “Register Voter” or call (970) 328-8715.
Mail-In Ballots
Applications for, and return of, mail-in ballots may be filed with Leslie Isom, Designated Election Official of the District, by mail: Eagle River Water and Sanitation District, 846 Forest Rd., Vail, Co., 81657, by Fax: (970) 476-4089, or by email: lisom@erwsd.org Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., until the close of business on Tuesday, April 27th, 2010, if the mail-in ballot is to be mailed to the elector; or until the close of business on Friday, April 30, 2010, if the mail-in ballot is not to be mailed to the elector. Polling Places
There will be four polling places as listed below. Electors may vote at any of the four polling places. Polls will be open on May 4, 2010, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Town of Vail Offices (Also the Vail Recreation District polling place)

Eagle County Health Service District Offices (Also a polling place for Eagle River Fire Protection District)

Be sure to bring an approved identification document, as listed below, when voting at a polling place.
The following is a list of the approved identification documents:
· A valid Colorado driver’s license;
· A valid identification card issued by the Colorado Department of Revenue;
· A valid United States passport;
· A valid employee identification card with a photograph of the eligible elector issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the United States government or of the State of Colorado, or by any county, municipality, board, authority, or other political subdivision of Colorado;
· A valid pilot’s license with a photograph of the eligible elector issued by the Federal Aviation or other authorized agency of the United States;
· A valid United States military identification card with a photograph of the eligible elector;
· A copy of a current (within the last 60 days) utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the name and address of the elector;
· A valid Medicare or Medicaid card issued by centers for Medicare or Medicaid services;
· A certified copy of the birth certificate of the eligible elector, issued in the United States;
· A certified documentation of naturalization of the eligible elector; or
· A valid student ID card, with a photo of the eligible elector, issued by an institute of higher education, in Colorado.
Any of the above forms of identification that shows the address of the eligible elector shall be considered identification only if the address is in the State of Colorado
